Environmental Policy

Here you can find the Environmental Objectives & Policy of LBH International A/S.

We aim to reduce the resource consumption of energy and the amount of trash, by continuously reducing the company's environmental impact in the creation of our products. We seek to reduce waste and consumption in our production, by searching for other methods and other products. We strive to have suppliers who are ISO14001 certified or who has environmental considerations regarding their production.

When the product is to be delivered to our customers we seek to minimize the number of transportations by arranging for several products to be shipped together and sending products directly from our suppliers to our customers. Alongside the product, we also send a guide of how to eco-friendly dispose the product.

We accommodate demands of the company’s different parties, by first and foremost abide by current legislation of the countries we deliver products to.

  • Waste sorting.
  • Ensure that our A-suppliers (suppliers of goods which is a part of our products or suppliers of commodities) work in the consideration of the environment or is ISO14001 certified.
  • Comply with current legislation.
  • Lower the amount of transportations
  • Ensure that demands from stakeholders are respected.

Reduce consumption of energy and reduce the amount of waste

We measure our consumption of electricity, water and heat against our turnover.

We strive to reduce the consumption of utilities each year, compared to the previous year. In order to further the reduction we have mounted energy sufficient light and voltage regulators, both of these installations have reduced the consumption of electricity noticeably.

We measure our waste against our turnover. We strive to reduce the amount of waste by using surplus materials from projects. The amount of paper waste is reduced in the coming years, as we go from a physical paper filing system to digital archiving. This happens, amongst other, with help from our electronic case filing system. Our consumption is measured using KPI, which is evaluated at the monthly management meetings.

Waste sorting

LBH International sorts all waste, and all employees are taught LBH Rules for waste sorting.

Waste sorting applies to both waste materials in the production as well as kitchen waste from both the production and the administration.

Ensure that our A-suppliers (suppliers of goods which is a part of our products or suppliers of commodities) work in the consideration of the environment or is ISO14001 certified.

All suppliers of goods which are used in the final product or suppliers of goods which are resold are audited for environmental considerations. We strive to have suppliers who are ISO14001 certified, but demand as a minimum that our suppliers take responsibility for the environment. In case a supplier does not take responsibility for the environment, we must try to find alternative suppliers, in order to obtain an eco-friendly final product. Moreover, it is important for LBH that our suppliers comply with REACH.

Comply with current legislation

We must abide by current legislation. In order to keep ourselves informed of the current legislation, we have signed up for newsletters from Environmental Forum Funen (Miljøforum Fyn), Ecoline, The Danish Working Environment Authority (Arbejdstilsynet) and Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark. All laws and demands from authorities are noted in binding obligations, which are evaluated at least one’s a year to verify that we still meet all demands. In case a legal requirement brings up concerns within the organization, a relevant employee will be selected to attend a course.

During the auditing of suppliers we ensure that they comply with the demands of REACH, in this way LBH itself also abides by these rules. We check and ensure that materials and chemicals listed on the candidate list are not present in our products.

Ensure that demands from stakeholders are respected

We have conducted a stake-holder analysis, and analyzed demands and requirements of the stake-holders. LBH seek to accommodate demands from all the stake-holders. Demands from stake-holders are analyzed yearly in a rapport for the management, in order to ensure that all demands are respected.
